studied Pharmacy in Slovenia and Germany, with a Master's thesis focusing on Pharmacogenetics of GPCRs in leukemia. She got her PhD in Receptor signaling/Martin Lohse Lab at Max Delbrueck Center in Berlin, researching GPCR-RAMP pharmacology and designing fluorescence and bioluminescence-based biosensors to elucidate activation and signaling of GPCRs. 

She is the Lead Researcher in Madan Babu's Lab at the Center of Excellence for Data-Driven Research, Structural Biology Department, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, USA. Using functional screens and data-driven discovery, she researches molecular mechanisms of GPCRs that govern human cancerogenesis and other relevant processes of (patho-)physiology.
